Andy has 20 years’ experience as an electrician, project manager, and field engineer/technician. He is a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), and holds a B.S. in Energy, Business, and Finance and an M.S. in Architectural Engineering. Andy developed HybridFAST, a Financial Analysis Spreadsheet Tool that quantifies the value stack for photovoltaic, battery, and hybrid systems, but he also loves getting his hands dirty. His blend of practical experience and technical expertise is unique in the industry.
Andy has served as a technical advisor for the National Electrical Contractors Association, and a financial advisor for the Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP), and a research associate for both the Ford Foundation and Penn State’s Center for Sustainability. He is a curriculum developer and master instructor for the Department of Energy’s Solar Ready Vets program and the Penn State/NSF co-sponsored Energy Storage and Microgrid Training and Certification (ESAMTAC) program.
